Layout #1 -
Love the bright colors on this page. This summer line of paper is perfect for some of my cruise pictures even though that was in March - not exactly summer. But it's always summer on a Caribbean cruise! Everything on this page is from Echo Park's Hello Summer line. They have a lot of fun embellishments to go along with the line. I love the chipboard stickers.
Layout #2 -
Again, everything on this page is from the Hello Summer line. Lots of fun stickers and patterned papers.
Project -
This is a canvas board I had laying around and decided to try out & see what I could do with it. The paper I used wasn't quite long enough to cover the whole board so I ended up inking around the edges. After I inked the edges I used Modge Podge to attach my paper. The ink mixed with the modge podge since it was still wet and gave the whole canvas & paper a pink tint. I didn't mean for that to happen but It ended up being a really neat effect.
Card -
I saved the best for last....
I love this card! I'm not even exactly sure why - maybe its just the fun colors! I used card stock to make a square 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" yellow card. Then I attached the polka dot paper which was slightly smaller than the card to leave a yellow boarder. Using my Quickutz Silhouette I cut the 2 flowers out of the orange square of card stock & saved them to use on something later. I attached the orange card stock with pop dots to raise it off the patterned paper. Then I added some stickers, brads, and another stripe of the polka dot paper on top. Really happy with how this card turned out especially since it was so easy! I think I'll be trying it again with some more paper combinations.
That's all for this month! I'm currently work on month 5 projects which I'll be posting soon! Be sure to check out the blog to see what all is going on that the store and head into The Scrapbooking Studio to pick up Echo Parks Hello Summer line to scrapbook all of your summer activities!
