Design Team - Month 4

I had so much fun with this line of paper. First of all - I LOVE Echo Park, always have - and I love the bright summer colors of this line - Hello Summer.  If I had gone into the store for summer paper this is the line I would of picked on my own so I'm glad this is what Stacy gave me this month!

Layout #1 -
Love the bright colors on this page. This summer line of paper is perfect for some of my cruise pictures even though that was in March - not exactly summer. But it's always summer on a Caribbean cruise! Everything on this page is from Echo Park's Hello Summer line. They have a lot of fun embellishments to go along with the line. I love the chipboard stickers.

Layout #2 -

Again, everything on this page is from the Hello Summer line. Lots of fun stickers and patterned papers.

Project -

This is a canvas board I had laying around and decided to try out & see what I could do with it. The paper I used wasn't quite long enough to cover the whole board so I ended up inking around the edges. After I inked the edges I used Modge Podge to attach my paper. The ink mixed with the modge podge since it was still wet and gave the whole canvas & paper a pink tint. I didn't mean for that to happen but It ended up being a really neat effect.

Card -

I saved the best for last....

I love this card! I'm not even exactly sure why - maybe its just the fun colors! I used card stock to make a square 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" yellow card. Then I attached the polka dot paper which was slightly smaller than the card to leave a yellow boarder. Using my Quickutz Silhouette I cut the 2 flowers out of the orange square of card stock & saved them to use on something later. I attached the orange card stock with pop dots to raise it off the patterned paper. Then I added some stickers, brads, and another stripe of the polka dot paper on top. Really happy with how this card turned out especially since it was so easy! I think I'll be trying it again with some more paper combinations.

That's all for this month! I'm currently work on month 5 projects which I'll be posting soon! Be sure to check out the blog to see what all is going on that the store and head into The Scrapbooking Studio to pick up Echo Parks Hello Summer line to scrapbook all of your summer activities!

Looking forward to the Christmas in July Crop at the store next weekend too! July 27th & 28th!

Thanks for looking!

Design Team - Month 3

This month I got Evangeline from Cosmo Cricket. I had a harder time with the line because I probably isn't something I would of picked out for myself, but once I finished I really loved what I ended up with. Its nice to work with things I might not of picked out othewise. Here's what I ended up with:

Layout #1 -
Layout #2 -

Card -

I really love how the scallop border worked out on this card.

Mini Album -

For my project this month I did another mini album. This one is by Maya Road. I'm still trying to find some smaller pictures to put in it. Here is a look at all of the pages...

Mom's Surprise Party Invites

Just wanted to share these fun invites I made for my moms surprise party. At first I had a hard time coming up with an idea for a surprise party invite. When I saw this idea on Pinterest, I loved it & decided to edit it a bit to fit my needs. My Silhouette made all the cutting super easy, as always! A lot of the inside stuff was just printed off my computer.

Design Team - Month 2

I was really exited to get this travel themed line from Bo Bunny this month.  It's Bo Bunny - Weekend Market. I went on a cruise recently have still have tons of scrapbooking to do for that trip and this line was great for that! I was also really excited about the colors - they are right up my alley!

Layout #1 -

I love all the browns & draker shades in all the paper. I had a hard time choosing which pages I wanted to work with. The emblishments that are a part of this line are really cute! I love the brass colored metal trinkets best! As you can see I used a lock & key on this page.

Layout #2 -

I added a bit of Twinery thread to this page, and it really added a neat detail to the page. I used some more of the metal trinkets here & brads.

Card -

It's hard to tell in the picture, but the background of the card is embossed with my Sizzix. I used the Cuttlebug - Clock works embossing folder.

Mini Album -

I love the shape of this mini album! I'm just looking for the perfect pictures to add to it. I always have a hard time finding small pictures to fit in my mini albums, but they are so fun to make!

All the supplies for these projects can be found at The Scrapbooking Studio! Be sure to head over to the blog & see what the other girls are up to & stop in the store to pick up some Bo Bunny Weekend Market paper & emblishments for yourself!

Design Team - Month 1

What I really like so far about being on The Scrapbooking Studio design team is that Stacy picks out the products for the month for me to use. Its a surprise every time as to what I'm going to get - I'm always really excited to see whats in the bag. I also think that I'm trying papers that I might not of picked for myself which is a lot of fun. This month I got the Be Happy line from My Minds Eye. I love My Minds Eye!

I started out with my project for this month and made some necklaces. I loved the words Follow your Heart and thought it was perfect for a necklace.  The flower necklace was perfect for a new outfit I bought - and I even wore it once before I turned it in! ;) Now I fee like I need to make one for every outfit!

I'm working on a book of all my baby pictures for my mom - at some point I'll get it finished for her. The Be Happy line was perfect for making some pages for that album. I added some prima flowers - because you can never go wrong with them, or have to many! They are one of my favorite embellishments! I also used some Maya Road goodies and some Tattered Angles Glimmer Mist which is quickly becoming one of my favorite projects. I'm starting to spray it on everything!

Lastly, I made a card with another sheet of the Be Happy line. I really liked the hexagons, and wanted them to "pop" a little more so I cut a few out and attached them with pop dots to add some dimension to it.

I had a lot of fun with the Be Happy line from My Minds Eye. Be sure to head into The Scrapbooking Studio and pick some up for yourself! And head over to the blog and see what the other girls are up too!

 Thanks for stopping by!
